About Me

I am Mrs. Hutchison, or as some people call me: Mrs. H. Friends just call me Nicole.

I've been married to my husband since 2007 and that sunny Saturday in March was the happiest day of my life thus far. Kevin is my best friend, partner-in-crime, and the his sense of humor keeps me laughing (and sane) everyday of our lives. He's awesome and I love him to pieces. He's pretty cute too.

I was born and raised in the beautiful State of Kentucky. I am a sassy southern belle who loves sweet tea, front porches, and family. One of my favorite things to do when visiting KY is to help my parents in their garden and sweet corn patch. There is nothing sweeter than eating corn-on-the-cob right in the field. And a tomato doesn't taste like a tomato unless you picked it off the vine yourself.

My relationship with friends and family is very important to me; and, I believe it all begins with my relationship with God. My faith is first priority. I am a member at First United Methodist Church in Joshua and I also serve as the Director of Youth Ministries for students in 7th - 12th grade. It is a blessing to work with these youth; they are gifted, talented, and extremely passionate about sharing their faith and making disciples of Jesus Christ. I rarely teach them, because I am always learning from them.

In March 2009, I left the corporate marketing world to pursue a career (passion) in education. I immediately began substitute teaching and successfully earned certification in Texas to teach English, language arts, reading and social studies (grades 4-8). I was hired by Fort Worth Independent School District on August 23, 2010 and I am a 7th grade Pre-AP social studies teacher at William James Middle School.

In my sparetime, I love to read, cook, and spend time with family. I hope you will visit my reading blog, where I share the books that I have read with a brief synopsis. I have a goal to read 100 books every year. I invite all women to join Busy Woman's Book Club too. We have a great time reading new releases and classic literary works

This blog is a snapshot into my choatic, yet simple life. I hope you will leave a comment and share your thoughts. I love hearing from my blog readers.
